Luggage with wheels – the benefits and buyers guide.

In our everyday lives, luggage can play a huge part in any travelling that we may do. Without taking luggage, we would be unable to carry our essential everyday items with us. There are a number of different styles available, and in particular we are going to look at luggage with wheels or wheeled holdalls as they are affectionately known.

Selecting the right type of luggage for any journey or trip is hugely important, as if you choose the wrong luggage type, then your possessions may end up damaged or broken.

The main advantage of purchasing a wheeled holdall is that it saves you the huge effort of carrying the luggage on your shoulders or arms, which can sometimes result in damaged muscles, cramps or even a permanently damaged back. We do not want to scare you however it is imperative that the correct item is purchased when choosing luggage.

Luggage with wheels is ideal for the elderly or particularly frail. Having the capability to pull the luggage on its wheels can reduce the load carried by up to 20kg this can make carrying even the heaviest load on holiday easy, and all you need to do is drag your luggage behind you.

The most popular type of wheeled luggage is the suitcase with wheels, you should ensure that the wheels are sturdy enough to support the load and check for cracks or damage, a broken wheel can render a piece of luggage useless.

Other types of wheeled luggage include, wheeled holdalls and wheeled rucksack. The wheeled rucksack, though probably the least favoured amongst the various types of wheeled luggage can be perfect for when you are required to walk long distances after a journey or flight. This makes the wheeled rucksack ideal for the traveller.

Although the wheeled holdall can also provide almost the same facilities as the wheeled rucksack, it also holds the added luxury of extra size. This extra size gives you the flexibility to take that extra shirt or those extra trousers that you would otherwise had to have left at home.
